There will be many tools and interventions presented, all will be effective in both virtual and in-person settings.

Part 1: Internalized children (3 hours)
Objectives:
• Some foundational concepts of working with internalized children.   
• Environmental conditions that impact healthy development and how to build into your work to maximize engagement and positive outcomes.
• Tools and tips for family work
• Some helpful resources
• Tools, Activities and Strategies to work with: Management of Feelings, Anxiety, Self Esteem, Social Skills, Shyness

 

Part 2: Externalized children (3 hours)
Objectives:
• Some foundational concepts of working with externalized children
• What is “Normal” and when are there concerns.
• Common challenges in working with externalized children
• Tools and tips for family work
• Some helpful resources
• Tools, Activities and Strategies to work with:
Management of Feelings, Self Regulation, Social Skills, Oppositional Behaviour, Aggressive Behaviour, Hyperactivity, Using Behaviour plans effectively
