Introduction and Exploration of Animal Assisted Therapy with Eileen Bona.

This workshop will include:

  • an overview of the medium of AAT – definition, research, foundational theories, and the status of the field in Canada
  • hands on demonstrations of AAT with live animals or videos of AAT with explanations/education of practical application and ethical considerations
  • different applications of AAT – how’s, who’s and where’s with practical application considerations

Eileen Bona is a Registered Psychologist. She holds a Master of Education from the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta and is the Owner/Founder of Dreamcatcher Association. She has been formally working with people with disabilities, behavioral concerns and mental health issues since 1988.
