Introducing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

April 3rd & 4th, 2014 – This conference is CACPT accredited.

The model is intended for working with children ages 3-18 who have been impacted by trauma, and their families.  Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) training is provided in two days, with the first day including an overview of the model, screening and assessment, and the early PRACTICE components: Pyschoeducation and Parenting Skills, Relaxation, Affective expression and modulation, and Cognitive Coping and Processing. The second day covers the latter model components: Trauma narrative development and processing, In vivo mastery of trauma reminders, Conjoint child-parent sessions, and Enhancing future safety and development.  

Alison Hendricks, LCSW, is a trainer and consultant who specializes in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed systems. She is a National Trainer for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Child Welfare Trauma Training Toolkit, a product of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) in the US.
